Each Katch Interiors project endeavors to capture the spirit of our Clients and reflect this in their homes with style, attention to detail and finesse.

Our mandate for this pied-à-terre was to keep the history of the Estate condition apartment intact while giving the space a freshness for today. We folded in style, color and an easy going spirit that is aligned with this family’s good natured, relaxed way of being.

We left the original details of the 1912 built apartment largely in place. We slathered the walls in fresh paint, added wallcovering, waxed and polished the herringbone floors and oak millwork, refurbished the fireplace, refreshed the kitchen and renovated the baths.

The apartment’s decoration is a study in contrasts, textural layers and range. We harmonized the existing space’s early 20th century formality with the informality of today. The apartment is layered with pieces from a range of eras and a rich palette of materials.

Above all, this space is both polished and informal, easy to live in, conducive to entertaining and brings our Clients joy.
